EDUCATION

We have a broad network of educational specialists across all areas of the Curriculum.  Our educators have been involved with the creation of education and training programs for Kindergarten to Adult Learners.

We work collaboratively with expert teachers to develop and deliver education and training programs that are pedagogically sound, aligned to Syllabuses and are successful in engaging students and meeting educational objectives and standards.

We have a firm understanding of State and Territory Teaching Standards and use these standards as a basis to ensure that teaching materials are high-quality and are an effective resource that allows for successful student learning outcomes.

We recognise the importance of designing the programs to fit within a single learning area or strand as this will ensure appropriate scope and sequence can be defined.

SUCCESS THROUGH EXPERIENCE

Many of our expert teachers are Head Teachers and have designed and implemented units of work in accordance with Syllabuses as well as supported staff in designing, developing and teaching these Syllabuses.

NEEDS, SKILLS & ABILITIES

We recognise that each learning environment is comprised of a diverse range of students with varying needs, skills and abilities, and understand that the success of education and training programs depends on students being able to access the information and engage with the content.  It is therefore essential that programs have built-in strategies to cater for this diversity.

ASSESSMENT

Assessment plays an integral role in teaching and learning.  We understand that educational programs should include assessment examples For, As and Of Learning.  It is also important that resources are designed for formal, formative or summative assessment, and are aligned to the outcomes specific to the relevant Syllabus.

Each educational program that we develop includes an Assessment For Learning in the form of a formative assessment task to track student progress and inform the teaching of the unit.  We include Assessments of Learning in the form of summative assessment tasks so that teachers can gather evidence of student achievement against learning goals and standards.

We also provide avenues for Assessment As Learning, providing opportunities for students to be called on to answer questions, for example in group discussions, allowing teachers to collect feedback and monitor their own learning, develop a clear understanding of the learning goals for the unit of work and how each activity/resource connects to those learning goals.

LEARNING RESOURCES

We create a diversity of resource types to provide opportunities for students to interact with a range of multi-modal texts, and cater to the diverse and varying levels of skills and knowledge found in every classroom.

Our resources are designed to deliver content, build knowledge and skills, assess student learning, and be easily accessible, user-friendly and engaging.  We understand that this will aid greater adoption by teachers into their learning programs, and successful student outcomes.

Some examples of the resources we create include:

  • E-Learning Modules, containing animations, videos, quizzes, puzzles, and other interactive activities

  • SMART Notebooks for versions 11 & 18

  • Stand-alone digital interactive activities
